Functional features
Our innovative insulation materials showcase extraordinary resistance to degradation from high-voltage arc activities. Conventionally, an arc flame sparks carbonization on the surface, rendering it conductive. This process is meticulously timed in seconds. Employing two tungsten electrodes set at a precise distance, the arc starts intermittently, progressively shortening until forming a continuous arc as current surges. The material endures increasingly harsh arc conditions, culminating in eventual failure. Arc resistance is crucial for insulating materials used in high-voltage switches or low-voltage high-current switches that regularly encounter arcs. Only materials with exceptional arc resistance meet the standard.
In the realm of electrical and electronic devices, insulating materials exposed to high-voltage, low-current arc discharges demonstrate distinct surface damage variations near the arc. These discharges induce localized thermal and chemical deterioration, creating a conductive path. Once a conductive channel is formed, the material is considered to have failed the test.
The Arc Resistance Tester adheres to standards such as GB1411, IEC61621, ASTMC495, UL746A, making it vital for executing simulated safety testing procedures.
Designed to meet stringent standard requirements, the arc resistance tester is equipped with detailed electrical schematics and high-precision electrodes.
